Introducing...Charles (Charlie) Frank Xiefeng Schmidt

Can't post too much right now other than to say he's amazing! I am humbled by the orphanage staff...they brought him dressed in new clothes, shoes and a beautiful jade dog pendant (he's year of the dog). They gave us a beautiful porcelain vase-like thing (I don't know what it is, but our guide said it's a sign of good luck. He's precious and serious...but, Pete got him to smile (doing silly goofy Pete faces). And, he has a set of lungs. He was ok being with us until the staff left (there were 3: the director, asst director and ayi (auntie)...he slowly teared up, got a big upper lip, and then let loose with screams. We brought him back to our room and he threw himself at the door and screamed (ayi, ayi). It lasted 1/2 hour and then he just sniffled. Then, he slowly got interested in the toys and snacks and smiled at Pete!! He's a good size and he is heavy! He also goes pee pee on the potty!! Will post more later. We absolutely love him! He's really is a gift from God!
